Save Settings
-------------
Whatever you have last set in the control-boxes and file-formats
will be recorded, and when you next use Paintshop these will be
its default settings.
Disk Functions
--------------
Select which drive.
Disk Inf. : How much space is left unused on the disk.
Disk Contents: Lists the folders and files at each level on the
chosen disk or drive. Click on a folder to go into
the next level. If the top-right box is set to *.*
all files will be shown, but if you set it to a
specific format (such as *.IMG) then only files in
that format will be listed. Left-click on a file-
name and its size is shown; you may also switch it
between read/write and read only.
Delete File : Deletes a selected file from the drive or disk.
Format Disk : Formats the disk in selected drive.
New Folder : Creates new folder on designated drive.
This File : Gives size of file which would result from saving
the picture on the present screen, in each of the
available file-formats.
Quit
----
Program terminates.
Icon Bar: Grid
==============
One item on the icon-bar at the foot of the screen is not
mentioned in any of the menu-orientated entries in this manual.
The Grid is controlled in the box with the chequered icon. The
Grid is an aid for drawing and layout, which can be switched on or
off with the 'create' and 'delete' commands. You may chose from
four pre-defined settings, or set the size you want by clicking
and pulling on the little square symbol. There is a readout of the
dimensions to which it is set.
If you carry out a function (such as copying a block) with the
grid switched on, any grid-markers in the affected area are
treated as though they were actually part of the picture - so you
end up with unwanted dots in the picture; when the grid is deleted
it also shows up as white dots in the lines etc which overlaid it.
If you do use the grid you may well need to do some touching-up on
the picture once you switch it off. Do not leave it on when you
save the picture, unless you want the grid saved too!
